TOO BOLD?

Recently, someone said to me, “I could never be as bold as you are with God.”  You see, I co-facilitate a grief support group.  During the discussion, a woman mentioned that she felt like she was in a fight.  She is!  I explained to her that Satan attacks our homes, health, marriages, finances, and children because he wants our faith in God.  Everything that is done spiritually for us, and through us, is God’s response to our faith.  Hebrews 11:6 tell us,  But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

When I lost my son, the Lord immediately revealed to me that Satan was after my faith.  All of my dreams and visions for what I planned were now gone.  My response was to cling to God.  I believe Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.   It does not mean that everything that happens is good, or feels good.  However, God has a way in His infinite wisdom to weave it into my life that it will reap eternal rewards if I submit it to Him.  I trust Him!  When God said that those who mourn would be comforted (Matthew 5:4), I trust Him!  When He said that He would never leave me, nor forsake me (Hebrews 13:5b), I trust Him! I trust Him to be everything that He promised.  I trust Him to do everything that He said.  I trust Him to be exactly who He is…a Promise Keeper.

When Jesus was on the earth, there were only two occasions that caused Him to marvel: at the great faith of the centurion who wanted his servant healed (Matthew 8:5-13) and at the lack of faith in Nazareth (Mark 6:1-6).

Maybe I am too bold. My boldness comes from my hope in the God who has shown Himself mighty and strong to me time and time again.

  1. To God be the glory. If we would step back and trust that God is faithful, kind, forgiving and patience, then we can step out on his promises(FAITH). I admire the boldness, if you can’t be Bold for God, then who? Thanks for the message, I receive it.

  2. We have to trust in God for everything. What comes from that is Boldness!!!!!

He gives you strength to stand on his word and promises. Be bold, be strong, and it never hurts for us to be vulnerable at times. It shows the side of you that connects with others. The human and divine is what we are made of. When we walk up right before God, he will protect us from harm. Continue in your boldness TL, and take some of us with you along the way!!!
